About Anisha
Anisha is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate in the State of Texas, Supervised by Natalie Shepherd, LPC-S. Anisha earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. She graduated with her bachelor’s in Kinesiology and Health from the University of Texas at Austin.
Anisha is currently working with adults and couples with needs focused on anxiety, stress reduction, grief, emotional regulation, attachment needs, and relationship issues. By focusing on the client’s goals and needs, she is able to help clients pursue a path of personal growth and holistic healing.
Anisha specializes in working with identity exploration, conflict resolution, life transitions, and relationship concerns with family, friends, and romantic partners. Creating a plan of action based on evidence-based practices, her goal is to provide a safe space for you to be able to share your stories, issues, and vulnerabilities. By providing a warm, genuine environment, Anisha is able to partner with the client to develop practical strategies to produce positive changes.
As a therapist, Anisha approaches her work through a Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy lens; she believes that the client is naturally inclined towards growth and will assist them as the client navigates their concerns and potential solutions. Anisha uses a multicultural and relational framework to approach her clients, which leads to a better understanding of the unique cultural difficulties and complex relationships amongst various populations.
