About Meagan
Meagan Barakat is a practicum student, supervised by Andrew Simmons, LPC. She is currently working to obtain her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The University of North Texas at Dallas. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology from The University of North Texas at Dallas.
Meagan values getting to know each client on a deeper level to assist them with their goals and help them achieve their fullest potential. Meagan utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to give clients a deeper understanding of the source and influence of their negative emotions and unproductive thoughts that interfere with their daily lives. These thought and emotions often lead to issues with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem.
Meagan believes that change starts from within. Her goal is to make you feel comfortable in your therapeutic journey and confident enough to make productive changes in your life!
