About Scott
Scott currently serves as the Program Coordinator for an Intensive Outpatient Program. He is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, specializing in drug and alcohol counseling. He works with adolescents and adults in individual counseling.
While majoring in business at Baylor University, Scott experienced addiction first hand. He completed an inpatient treatment program in 2011 and has been active in helping others ever since. He completed his Associates of Applied Sciences in Substance Abuse Counseling in 2013, and then worked as the Drug Counselor for the 417th District Juvenile Drug Court.
Scott believes spiritual development along with cognitive behavior therapy is key to sobriety. He has focused on client centered therapy; and is certified in Moral Reconation Therapy-MRT® an effective systematic, cognitive-behavioral approach that treats a wide range of issues including substance abuse, domestic violence, trauma, parenting, job skills, and other issues. Scott focuses on building a relationship with each client in order to best serve their needs. Scott completes yearly Co-Occurring Psychiatric and Substance Use Disorders (COPSD) training.
